The Mackinac Grille Restaurant and Waterfront Patio Bar is open year round and is located on the waterfront board walk of downtown St. Ignace between the St. Ignace Public Marina and Star Line's Mackinac Island Passenger Ferry Rail Road Dock. The Mackinac Grille not only overlooks the busy activity of the marina and Star Line dock it also overlooks Mackinac Island and the St. Ignace Lighthouse. During the winter months the Mackinac Grille is directly connected to snowmobile trails and is located at the head of the frozen lake trail to Mackinac Island. The Mackinac Grille specializes in Mackinac Whitefish caught daily in the Straits Area. We serve whole pin-boned fillets Planked - baked on a maple plank with seasonal vegetables and duchess potato's, Poorman's style - wrapped in tin foil with vegetables fresh herbs, potato's and mushrooms, Rockefeller - baked with a creamy Rockefeller sauce, and deep-fried. We also feature ribs, and steaks char-grilled in our outside grill pit, fresh perch and walleye, pasta and some Island favorites with Caribbean flair.
